Gold Signet Ring featuring a leaf engraving.
Ring shapes are inspired by many hours of exploring museum collections and archives, attempting to recreate the forms and settings seen in 2nd century Roman society.
Laurel leaf engravings were a very popular motif in the ancient world, symbolising victory and achievement (it is the origin of the term 'Laureate'). This once one-off design has been brought back as a permanent piece in the Mairy Jewellery collection due to popular demand.
Industry standard for gold plating is 3 microns thick. We plate our rings with a gold layer of 10 microns.
Rings are made to order, with an average turnover time of 4 weeks.
